The Vision
Our clients came to us with a common dilemma: a large bathroom that felt cold and lacked a true "wow" factor. They wanted more than just a place to get ready in the morning; they wanted a private retreat that rivaled a five-star resort. The goal was to blend high-tech luxury with a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Key Design Features
The Focal Point Fireplace: To elevate the "relaxation" variable, we installed a sleek, linear electric fireplace set into a custom marble-tile feature wall. It’s positioned perfectly so you can enjoy the glow whether you’re in the tub or at the vanity.
The Zero-Entry Rainfall Shower: We replaced a bulky, dated shower with an expansive glass-enclosed wet room. Featuring floor-to-ceiling marble tile and a built-in floating bench, it offers a seamless transition from the main floor.
Freestanding Elegance: The centerpiece is a modern, deep-soak freestanding tub. We paired it with a minimalist floor-mounted filler and a custom wood bath caddy for that perfect "glass of wine and a book" moment.
Contrasting Textures: To keep the space from feeling too clinical, we balanced the cool grey marble walls with warm, wood-look plank flooring and a rich, dark espresso vanity for a touch of grounded sophistication.
Atmospheric Lighting: We utilized a layered lighting plan—recessed ceiling lights for utility, a modern vanity bar for grooming, and the soft amber light from the fireplace for evening ambiance.
The Result
By rethinking the layout and focusing on "luxury touchpoints," we transformed a standard bathroom into a multi-sensory experience. From the heat of the fireplace to the spaciousness of the open-concept shower, this room is now the highlight of the home.
